Hastings Deering (PNG) exhibited at this year’s PNG Mining and Petroleum Conference in Port Moresby from 24 to 26 November.
The theme of the Conference was “Opportunities in Challenging Times”, bringing together almost 60 speakers from the local industry including mine operators, exploration companies and government representatives including PNG Prime Minister, Honourable Peter O’Neill.
Manned by Peter Martin, Ligo Augerea, Jon Vutliu and Mark Hodgson, the Hastings Deering stand featured a working demonstration of the Cat VisionLink system which showed interested mining and construction conference delegates how the low cost and simple to use web based system will help collect data on their equipment in the field.
Mark Hodgson said, the data from VisionLink including machine location, utilisation time, fuel usage and maintenance schedules are displayed in simple to understand charts which provides a huge insight when managing a fleet of machines.
With approximately 600 delegates in attendance over the three days, the conference provided great exposure for Hastings Deering PNG and each conference speaker was presented with a Hastings Deering Cat branded gift in appreciation of their contribution to the success of the conference.
