A delivery with a difference - Autism Awareness April
During April, Australia shines a spotlight on Autism Awareness with the aim to improve the lives of those living with autism, and the ones who love them.
In honor of this cause, we are were thrilled to have had the opportunity to give one of our customers the experience of a lifetime.
Last week, the team arranged for Nick, Gail, Talitha and Kayden Boike from Supagreen Environmental, to have a guided tour of our Hastings Deering facility in Archerfield.
Kayden is 11 years old, Autistic and has a fascination for all thing’s trucks, diggers and Caterpillar.
From the small building and construction machinery, through to the giant mining equipment, Kayden and his family were guided through the component warehouse, the build and servicing bays and got a close look at some incredible machinery.
“Kayden absolutely loved it. We've never done a tour like that were Kayden has been able to be so interactive with equipment.”
“He was smiling from ear to ear and was talking about the diggers all the way home” said Nick.
Recently, Nick & Gail from Supagreen Environmental purchased their first 304E2 Excavator from our New & Used Sales Rep Tom Whetton.
“Family is the most important thing to me, and one of the best parts of my job is to connect with the families of my customers. It was really fantastic to work with the team at Hastings Deering to make this tour happen for the Boike family,” said Tom.

Autism Awareness month further aims to celebrate the unique talents of those with autism, and seeing the passion that Kayden has for his digger’s, we’re sure to see him entering this industry in the future.
