Hastings Deering wins "Large Employer of the Year"

On Friday the 19th July, Hastings Deering was awarded the Large Employer of the Year (Metropolitan Region) at the Queensland Training Awards.

This is recognition of our 3,500 employees who come to work and strive for excellence every day. It is acknowledgement of our great leaders and people across the functions and the training and opportunities we provide. A big thanks to each and every one of you.

Winning this award was no small feat, runners up include; Retire Australia who are a national body and QANTAS, who have around 35,000 employees.

This award will now see the team go to the state championships.

  • Large Employer is awarded for outstanding achievement in the area of vocational education and training by a Queensland business with 200 or more full-time equivalent employees.

  • There are 100,000 businesses in our region

  • This includes 181 Registered Training Organisations

  • We have been a finalist in this category in three of the last four years – 2019 (winner), 2018 and 2016, the most successful finalist of any company in our patch
